Model charts display wind and temperature forecasts from the DWD ICON model at four vertical levels, covering up to 24 hours ahead in 3-hour intervals. Charts are updated every 12 hours: at 05:00 UTC for the 00 UTC model run and at 17:00 UTC for the 12 UTC model run.
Wind speed is shown in knots and temperature in degrees Celsius. Wind direction is indicated by arrows, with feathers and shaded pennants representing wind speed. A short feather corresponds to 5 knots, a long feather to 10 knots, and a shaded pennant to 50 knots. Temperature values above zero are marked with a plus sign (+), while negative values are shown without a sign.
