General overview

The primary and predominant business activity of SMATSA llc is Air Navigation Service Provision, with additional services including air traffic control officer training, flight inspection of ground based radio navigation aids and aircraft maintenance services.

SMATSA llc was established on 29th December 2003 as a limited liability company, by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the decision of the Government of Montenegro. SMATSA llc operates in full compliance with the national and international legislation, as well as with relevant international agreements. High level of competence of its personnel, constant development and technical and technological advancements have all contributed to SMATSA llc becoming a member of the most important international aviation organizations and to its integration into the European air traffic management system as a EUROCONTROL member.

Following the signing of the Air Transport Cooperation Agreement concluded between the Republic of Serbia and the State of Montenegro on 3rd February 2012, the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Montenegro concluded Contract on Confirmation of Continuity of Air Navigation Service Provision within the Airspace under Serbia and Montenegro Jurisdiction, confirming the continuity of existence of mutual provider of air navigation services.
